
Tom is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner whose specialties are investments, retirement and estate planning.
Tom is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the premier professional organization for fee-only planners. Tom is currently Vice President of the Maine Estate Planning Council. From 2004 - 2010, he served as a Trustee and Investment Committee Chair for Maine Initiatives, a statewide organization that advocates for social, economic and environmental justice at the grassroots level. He has been widely quoted in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Money, BusinessWeek, Financial Planning, and Kiplinger’s. Tom is a graduate of Haverford College.
Tom and his wife live in South Portland's Willard Beach community with their cat and dog. Prior to becoming a financial planner in 1996, Tom worked as a financial analyst for Kobe Steel in Tokyo and New York City.

Brian is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner and a Chartered Financial Analyst® whose specialties include investments and retirement planning.
Brian belongs to the CFA Institute and the Maine Estate Planning Council. He is also active in the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. Brian currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Genesis Community Loan Fund, which provides financing to affordable housing and community groups across Maine. He has also served as Treasurer of the Maine Planned Giving Council and of the Maine Crafts Association. Brian has been quoted in Bloomberg News, Investment News and the Portland Press Herald. He has also appeared on the newscasts of Portland’s ABC and CBS TV stations. Brian is a graduate of Yale University.
Brian, his wife, and their three children live in Cape Elizabeth. Brian worked for many years in the publishing industry as a book editor and also owned a bookstore before becoming a financial planner in 1997.

Debra works closely with Tom and Brian to support client relationships, from scheduling meetings, shepherding client documents, and compiling the various reports clients receive, to maintaining and organizing office systems.
Prior to joining us at PFPG, Debra was Assistant Registrar for Continuing Studies at Maine College of Art for over eight years. A graduate of the University of Chicago, Debra is also a practicing fine artist with work in national and international collections.
